A.M.C.C E-Newsletter: 20th December 2013. Edited by Charles Hili & Antonio Pantalone
A Message from the President
2013 is quickly coming to a close and I am sure for some it can’t come quick enough. Whilst it has been a tough year in my opinion and one where we seem to have been working harder than ever before, I am hopeful that everyone has remained successful.
The AMCC has had a relatively quiet year , but we did host dinners for the Parliamentary Speaker of Malta. Charles Muscat the new Maltese High Commissioner and the new Leader of the Malta National Party Dr Simon Busuttil .
I also co-hosted on behalf of the European Australian Business Council ( of which the AMCC is a proud Member of ) Dr Tonio Borg Commissioner for Health and Food Safety for the European Union based in Brussels.
Chev Michael Cefai became our first Melbourne Member as we look to consolidate our presence in Victoria in 2014. Michael will head the Vic branch as we move forward.
The Executive will begin plans for the 2014 Trade Mission to Malta and we already have 7 confirmed delegates. This Trade Mission will be assisted by our colleagues in Malta Enterprises in particular Jean-Claude Uhlenhaut who is a very close ally of the AMCC. I urge anyone who might be interested in attending to contact us asap. Time frame for the Trade Mission at this stage is around the September period.
The Executive have worked closely all year and continue to be the back bone of the Chamber and always strive to support all our members in whatever profession they are in.Also to those who put information on our Facebook page . Please use this wherever appropriate. It is important that we continually keep each other up to date with any news on our Members .I would like to take this opportunity to thank Charles Hili and Antonio Pantalone for their efforts in producing the newsletter on a regular basis and can be viewed anytime on our website.
To all of you and your Families a safe and joyous Christmas and all the very best for a healthy and prosperous New Year.
Regards
Syd

AMCC Christmas Party
On Sunday December 15, 2013, the AMCC celebrated its annual Christmas Party at Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville at Darling Harbour. The day was, as always a pleasant and a great success. The members enjoyed a wonderful lunch and drinks, whilst chatting about the year gone past, their upcoming Christmas plans and the success that we’re all going to experience in 2014.
The Christmas Party allows members and their families the chance to socialise and get to know each other better. Overlooking Sydney’s beautiful Darling Harbour, and with the weather holding up for a great summer’s day, the 2013 Christmas Party was one of the most memorable to date.
Congratulations to the AMCC Executive for planning and preparing the day. Only 12 months to go until the next Christmas Party!
WISHING EVERYONE A MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A SAFE AND HAPPY NEW YEAR.
